Information we collect

TradesButler may process information provided by business customers and callers, including names, business contact information, phone numbers, email addresses, service addresses, service requests, call information, transcripts or recordings where enabled, AI-generated summaries, leads, appointment requests, follow-ups, technician and contact information, account information, application usage data, and technical and security logs.

How information is used

We use information to provide and operate TradesButler, process calls and service requests, organize business workflows, generate leads, follow-ups and appointment requests, deliver configured operational alerts, maintain security, provide support, troubleshoot the service, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability.

AI and communications services

TradesButler uses service providers that supply cloud hosting, artificial intelligence, telephony, SMS, email, security and related infrastructure. These providers process information solely as necessary to provide the service on our behalf.

Call recording and transcription

Calls may be recorded, transcribed and analyzed where enabled by the applicable business, subject to applicable law and that business's configuration. The business operating the workspace is responsible for the notices and consents required in its jurisdiction.

SMS privacy

SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, transferred, or shared with third parties.

SMS opt-in information will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Communications providers may process recipient phone numbers and message content solely as necessary to transmit operational messages, but TradesButler does not sell or transfer SMS consent records.

Details of how SMS consent is obtained and recorded are described on our SMS consent page.

Get Started inquiries

If you submit the “Get Started” form, we collect your business name, your name, email address, trade, and any optional phone number or message you provide, along with the page you came from and a one-way hashed version of your network address used only to limit abuse. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and discuss setting up TradesButler for your business. It is stored separately from customer workspaces, is not used to create an account, and is sent by email to our team so we can reply.

To ask us to delete an inquiry, email hello@tradesbutler.com.

Website analytics (Google Analytics)

TradesButler uses Google Analytics 4 on its public website pages to understand website traffic and how visitors interact with the site. Analytics is optional and is enabled only after you select “Accept analytics”. It is not used inside signed-in TradesButler workspaces.

After you accept, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. Information collected may include the pages you visit, approximate technical, device and browser information, how you arrived at the site (traffic and referral information), and interactions with the public site such as clicks on demo or calculator links.

TradesButler does not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, call transcripts, caller information, customer information, demo codes, or the numbers you enter into or receive from the missed call calculator to Google Analytics.

You can decline analytics, or change your choice at any time, using the “Cookie preferences” link in the website footer. Your choice is saved in your browser. For more about how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Data retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, meet contractual and legal requirements, and resolve disputes, subject to applicable customer settings and deletion requests.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Customer-controlled information

TradesButler business customers control much of the business and caller information stored in their workspaces, including recipients, settings and records. Requests relating to information held in a workspace may be directed to the business operating that workspace.
