TradesButler SMS Alert Consent Process
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This page documents how designated business owners, managers, technicians, or on-call contacts provide consent before TradesButler SMS operational alerts are enabled for them.
This is not a public marketing SMS signup form.
Program name: TradesButler Alerts. Messages are operational and relate to emergency and urgent service calls for the business that operates the workspace.
Step 1 — Obtain consent
Before SMS alerts are enabled, an authorized workspace administrator obtains the recipient's verbal agreement to receive TradesButler operational SMS alerts.
Recommended verbal script
"TradesButler would like to send you recurring operational text messages about emergency and urgent service calls for [Business Name]. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. SMS consent is optional. Terms are available at https://tradesbutler.com/terms and our Privacy Policy is available at https://tradesbutler.com/privacy. Do you agree to receive these SMS alerts?"
An affirmative response is required before SMS can be enabled.
Step 2 — Record consent
The workspace administrator records the recipient in TradesButler and explicitly confirms that verbal SMS consent was received.
TradesButler records the consent method, date and time, and the user who recorded the consent.
Step 3 — Send only operational alerts
SMS is used only for the configured emergency and urgent operational-alert workflow.
Step 4 — Withdrawal
A recipient can reply STOP to opt out or ask the workspace administrator to disable SMS alerts. SMS must not continue after consent is withdrawn.
